Wild Things Hatchery's History

In 1993 during a post graduate class in Entomology I met an old acquaintance. This old friend and I had a few hobbies in common. The Aquarium hobby in particular. We decided to combine our skills and join together in an adventure in fish keeping. So here we are with a combined total of 4,000 gallons of water, about 100 different species of fish and over 2,500 fish in stock. All together it is one heck of a hatchery. We both belong to the Greater Chicago Cichlid Association (GCCA), Chicago Killifish Association (CKA), and hold positions in the Apistogramma Study Group (ASG). Last big GCCA auction we kicked some combined royal butt placing 1,2, and 3 in the Apistogramma class, 1 in the Tanganyikan mouth brooder class, 2 in the Angel fish class and 3 in the family class. In the Apisto class we beat on of the primary west coast breeders--------- YYYessss!! All in all the show was a success and we definitely left people asking questions. Just recently in 1997 we also had a good showing at the ACA in Chicago. Where we brought home all sorts of prizes and need I say some more fish species.
