Computer Statistics and Details:

The first computer I learned on is now at a different location (it was a Packard bell which included new modifications like memory upgrade (RAM), Extra 1 GIG Drive installed, 56k modem upgrade (the computer was purchased when 14.4 was the Sh_t) TV/Radio card and a scanner SCSI card. The SCSI and TV/Radio cards have been exchanged with a few different computers already. That Packard bell was a great learning tool and still running today!

It is amazing how computer costs, speed space and quality have changed…

Currently the 3 computers at this location have all had their computer drives wiped clean numerous times and operating systems of choice have all been installed. All were pretty much a snap except for the pesky Compaq (I still can't manage to get 2000 on there). I could only manage to upgrade to windows 98SE. A few (of what I think) critical drivers are not available.

The Compaq was the first computer purchased after the original computer mentioned above.

The Compaq specks: (Pretty much maxed out at) 384 Megs of RAM, 12 GIGS of space, Pentium II with 450 MHz of speed. It currently has an original packaged Hewlett Packard Scan Jet 4c SCSI Scanner card installed (can't carry over to the present computer because of board card slot incompatibility SCSI as opposed to PCI. Thank God for adapters…)

Another computer being used on the home network is a Sony Laptop PGK-127 (yes one of the small ones… Cute functional great carry on computer but memory costs are outrageous…).

Sony specks: 128 Megs of RAM, 30 GIGS of space, Pentium III with 750 MHz of speed.

The final purchase and hopefully the last (until it burns out) is the computer I am creating this page with…
This computer is a Gateway original op system was XP. What a pain in the arse XP was to get rid of. But I found a way!!! Remember computer are about options (anything is possible) no matter how hard they make it for you…

Gateway specks and upgrades: 640 Megs of RAM, 40 GIGS of space, Pentium IV with 2 GHz of speed… ;o)
